Walking the Milford Track is an experience that will be permanently rooted in the memories of those that have travelled along it. What better way to build on these memories than with a scenic flight back over it at your journey’s end.
It’s often described as “the finest walk in the world”, a 53-kilometre stretch of track that takes its travellers deep into the most dramatic landscapes of purest New Zealand. The Milford Track has long been considered a must-do for adventurers from around the world. The vast majority of these walkers will only have the privilege of undertaking such a journey once in a lifetime. Booking a scenic flight from the Milford Track post-journey is a common-sense option for many of these walkers. They avoid the energy-sapping five-hour coach ride back to Queenstown while getting to see from above where they’ve travelled at ground level. The 35-minute flight takes in some of the track’s highlights, such as the Sutherland Waterfalls, McKinnon Pass, Glade House and Lake Te Anau, before arriving back in Queenstown and transporting passengers back to their accommodation. It’s the perfect way to end the perfect track.
